The increasingly dynamic development of the markets calls for specialisation
and sound expertise. Engel & Völkers recognised the signs of
the times early on and established its own academy in 1996 to provide
a sound professional education to all company employees.
During a six-day basic training course our new employees get to know
the innovative Engel & Völkers marketing system in a three-step
programme. Among other things, the course subjects comprise questions
of corporate identity and software seminars for the specially developed
program Global Office as well as practice-oriented sales seminars.
The training takes place regularly in the seminar room of the DJZ (German-Japanese
Centre) at the Stadthausbrücke in Hamburg. Local seminars in the
respective countries can be organized with a minimum of 6 participants.
Gaining an edge through knowledge
The continuous professional development of all employees and partners
is a vital factor for lasting success. The Engel & Völkers Real
Estate Academy is managed by experienced trainers and is geared to the
practical requirements of the regional, national and international markets.
The seminars offer special training for managers and deal, among other
things, with questions of sales strategy, the drafting of contracts and
country-specific agency law as well as architecture and communication.
Developing leadership skills
Each Engel & Völkers franchisee undergoes an in depth franchise
system training course that is structured in several stages and focuses
on various subjects. This series of courses is especially geared to future
managers and, in addition to basic training, comprises the following subjects:
management training, office organisation and market analysis. The training
leaves enough room to address the individual needs of each franchisee
and their area-specific questions.
Train the Trainer
All trainers are experts in their respective field and have a lot of
practical experience and didactic competence. Of course the trainers are
also continuously participating in special professional development programmes.
Highly qualified external trainers and experts round off the professional
development programme of the Real Estate Academy.
